Learn More about Computer Hardware and Networking

Learn more about computer hardware and networking and more you will feel confident while buying computer components.

Computer Hardware
Computer hardware is not a device, but a set of multiple devices and machinery. This is the visible part of your computer system.
Input devices like keyboard and mouse are used to enter the text, command, or any other instructions. Output devices like printers are used to print the text and images. Monitor and speaker are some of the essential output devices.
CPU (Central Processing Unit) is both the heart and the brain of your computer. It does all the work through the programmed chips. It has its own speed.
Hard disk drives and external disk drives are external storage devices used to store data externally. Pen drives, CD (Compact Disk), DVD (Digital Video Disk), and smart cards are also used to store data.
Computer RAM (Random Access Memory) is an internal memory of a computer that decides the overall speed of a computer. Two to four gigahertz memory is sufficient for most of the software applications to run safely on your computer.
Computer Networking
A computer network is nothing but a connection of different computers through some channels. This connection is very important for many computers to share common data and operate synchronously. This saves a lot of space, time, and money. Special care has to be taken for computer hardware network security.
LAN (Local Area Network) is a network limited by space and can be accessed in certain area only, whereas WAN (Wide Area Network) is a network that connects computers set up in longer distances.
Internet is a system of interconnected networks all over the world. It has its own standards known as protocols. For example, TCP (Transmission Control Protocol) and IP (Internet Protocol)
A network can be wired or wireless. Wired networks make use of different types of wires such as twisted, co-axial, and optical fiber.
